Every Basic Journal is made from a deconstructed hardback book, covered in fabric. At the top of the spine is a metal loop for hanging spine dangles. Hidden grommets at the center edge of front and back covers allow for the secure attachment of a ribbon or fabric closure. Front and back covers are lined in coordinating paper for a finished appearance.
The size and number of signature pages for each journal vary, but all have pages made from paper ephemera such as: book, newspaper, and magazine pages; envelopes; blank and lined journal pages; sheet music; pages from personal and business documents; hand-dyed papers; field guide pages; braille paper, and more.
